Paris-bred jewelry designer Myriam ADJINAKOU established her jewelry line in 2001. Paris’s strong high fashion and sophisticated street-style culture, created a unique environment that helped shape and radically define her aesthetic vision from a very young age. At age 19 after an internship at Chanel, Rue Cambon (Paris), and after honing her techniques at the couture house of Louis Vuitton ( Paris) Myriam decided that fashion was more than just a mere hobby, but indeed a way of life. Dreams do come true if you put your mind to and work hard

Her jewelry pieces are constructed around vintage pieces collected at flea markets throughout Paris as well as eclectic elements found while traveling to Casablanca (Morocco), her dad’s homeland: Togo, Spain, Greece and the French Polynesian Islands. It combines contrasting materials like silk, precious woods, resins, shells, semi-precious stones and industrial elements to create unique hybrid pieces of jewelry. All her pieces are made by hand and are one of a kind. She also designs custom pieces. The price points range from $150 to $950. The collection will be available shortly at Neiman Marcus, Bloomingdale’s and other high-end boutiques throughout the US and France.

The Women has been rocking the hell out of Jeffrey Cambell Lita Boots. I guess he said why not launch some mens shoes. The concept of the lookbook gives me a vintage grunge feeling  In the shoot they were in the  streets, bars of New York, braved the rain, and captured the  night. Jeffrey showed  true essence and attitude of his line. In the shoot the model was dressed  in everything from vintage to Versus, and Topman to T by Alexander Wang. The Question I have would your purchase a pair fellas? Check out the whole Mens 2012 lookbook

EMERGING: Emerson by Jackie Fraser-Swan

Posted on by Icy Twan in LATEST | Comments Off on EMERGING: Emerson by Jackie Fraser-Swan

You have now entered the world of a designer’s collection that profoundly explores the punk and the polished realms of design—Emerson by Jackie Fraser-Swan.Emerson is here!! Relatively new to the New York fashion scene this 27 look collection has already collected noise. Jackie features modern tie-dyed prints, splattered motifs and with caged detail—distinctive, universal and fun.

The Spring/Summer 2012 Emerson collection is inspired by the contrast of darkness and light, says Fraser-Swan. “Life can throw us a curve ball from time to time,” she says, “but it’s up to us to decide whether to go down that road to darkness or to focus on the light at the end of the tunnel.”

Emerson is full of simple silhouettes in soft black, grey and white prints. To describe this line metaphorically: Grunge(punk) meets the Fifth Avenue socialite. It’s color story speaks in a soft whisper defined with dark detail. Edgy and polite is it’s mood. Very unique!

I feel Jackie Fraser-Swan has really done a exquisite job with this collection. I’m looking forward to more to come in the future from this designer!!
