Styles of NYFW

NYFW1This season NYFW brought us a lot of updated garment shapes and colors

Ultra Blue:As seen in this Michael Kors A/W 13/14 look at NYFW. Making a bold statement of its own not only in color but also design and structure wise this was an amazing piece.

As seen in the Marc by Marc Jacobs A/W 13/14 show at NYFW this romantically reddish dress has a LBD comfort to it, on the runway it flowed really well and the model was stunning in it.

This look by Lacoste A/W 2013/14 was amazing. A new feeling for the normally super sporty brand, the  exaggerated shoulder line for a more abstract look creating a more eclectic feel to the garment was a phenomenal feature to go alongside their 60s styling.

Designers are even finding more creative ways to make their hemlines more disclosed. The Contrast-hem Coat consists of using different fabrics to add contrast and conceal hemlines, in this Thakoon Addition A/W 2013/14 coat the designer featured tweed, wool and fur.

Are Kanye West and A$AP Rocky Starting a Mask Movement?

Posted on by Icy Twan in LATEST | Comments Off on Are Kanye West and A$AP Rocky Starting a Mask Movement?

There’s no question that Kanye West has been one of the most influential celebrity figures when it comes to menswear fashion. Just like with hip hop, he’s always at the forefront pushing the envelope with new ideas and experimental concepts that capture everyone’s attention. At the turn of the new year, Kanye introduced a new fashion statement bywearing a Maison Martin Margiela crystal mask while performing at the Revel Ovation Hall in Atlantic City, New Jersey. The rapper was then seen in Paris, France rocking a red ski mask.

While some may have thought this would never catch on, it looks like it’s starting to because rapper A$AP Rocky was seen wearing a black mask at the Y-3 Fall/Winter 2013 show during New York Fashion Week. Now the fact that they’re both wearing masks around the same time could just be coincidental, but it could also signify that a new trend is upon us. What do you think?

As you guys know we have an art movement in Baltimore city and out signature is wearing mask once your in the art group we have been doing it for quite sometimes now. Check out the post to learn more

55th Annual Grammy awards

Posted on by Icy Twan in LATEST | Comments Off on 55th Annual Grammy awards

The 55th Annual Grammy Awards, the biggest music night of the year, attracted the stars, the big performances, and all the surprises. When it came to style, it appeared as though many celebs complied with CBS’s family friendly dress code because there were less risque looks than past years. However, those constraints must’ve sparked creativity because there were also many refined, imaginative and demanding outfits. Who do you think dressed the best?

Patrick Chukwuemeka Okogwu Jr. better known to his fans as Tinie Tempah is a November 1st 1988 South-London Born rapper and fashion icon to many he has increasingly become a house hold name amongst his peers and fans alike because of his great music and impeccable fashion sense which seems to be winning him some awards like the Man Of The Year 2012 GQ Awards in the best solo hip-hop artist category.

’Pass Out’ which was his first single from Parlophone Recordings went straight to number one after its release in 2010 February. The rapper has performed on the same stage as Rihanna during her tour to the United Kingdom and also Snopp Dogg in Glastonbury during his tour to the United Kingdom,Tinie also got the honorary chance to perform at the closing ceremony of the Olympics along side his favorite singer Emeil which he terms as a ‘VERY SPECIAL MOMENT’ . Tinie Tempah has been able incorporate the Street meets nerdy kind of style to most of his styling which has not failed him. He’s one part ’80s throwback (reinterpreted through the eyes of a new generation that didn’t live through the tragedy of stonewashing and shoulder pads), one part geek chic, and 100% style noteworthy as in his music, Tinie Tempah likes to mix a huge variety of influences to find something new and fresh that has not been done by anyone or as a throwback kind of style.

Tinie Tempah, his manager and cousin have become actively involved in fashion and have their own line which is based in the United Kingdom known as Disturbing London in Selfridges, the line was launched last year in April. The brand just like him mixes high end fashion aesthetic with the urban street style which befits his profile. Tinie Tempha has also designed the popular Disturbing London X  blazers for Nike, the shoe brand. He is the first and only British rapper to ever design a blazer for the well acclaimed shoe brand Nike.

Naomi photographed by Steven Meisel for Vogue Italia February 2013 trying to embody all kinds of women. All beautiful, all flawlessly styled. With a little help from Pat McGrath for Dolce & Gabbana the Makeup, hair by Guido for Redken, nails by Jin Soon Choi, Naomi looks her usual amazing self, make no mistake, the inside pictorial is just as great as the cover. And we know that because, after the jump, you’ll see a short behind the scenes film by Gordon von Steiner with Naomi talking in the background.
