Teyana Taylor Loses Deal with Adidas?

Speaking of rappers and sneaker endorsements, it looks like Teyana Taylor‘s deal with Adidas has been terminated, likely over that bitter twitter feud she had with Rihanna back in September. If you remember, Teyana posted an Insta-video of herself singing Anita Baker’s ”Caught Up in The Rapture,” and Rihanna clapped back with a parody video of her hair stylist Yusef Williams in a wig and snapback, singing the same song– obvious shade. Things escalated quickly from there, but Taylor took it a little too far when she changed her cover photo on Twitter page to a picture of her knocking out Rihanna, superimposing an image of the Bajan singer’s battered face after her 2009 run-in with Chris Brown and her own onto a snap of fighting boxers. Folks hypothesize that it is for this reason that Adidas nixed Taylor. A rep for the label released a statement to confirm the termination: “We have ended our relationship with Teyana Taylor and do not have any upcoming product launches with her.” The rep didn’t say whether or not they ended things over the Rihanna debacle, but it certainly sounds like that may have contributed to her being let go: ”All I can say is that Adidas partners with athletes and artists who blend well with our brand values. We evaluate our relationships with partners based on the values we hold at adidas and we don’t condone violence of any kind. Via necolebitchie
