Louis Vuitton did a all exclusive event called Past Present and Future in LA. Befor Sam Sarpong was passing he was invited and rode a tour bus that was sent for him & his fashion crew to get the inside track of the new remodeled private tour of Series 2 which was a very private tour. One of his favorite highlights was him, being taken into a room that made you feel like your actually at a Louis Vuitton show.  My dear friend is gone on with the Angels. Another Fashion Book was his favorite blog and he will be truly missed.

model Sam Sarpong, best known for co-hosting MTV’s “Yo Momma” with Wilmer Valderrama, died Monday. He was 40.
via Variety:
Sarpong died after jumping off a bridge in Pasadena, Calif., according to E! News. The Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner-Coroner has ruled his death a suicide, with an autopsy pending.
“It is with great sadness that the family of Samuel Sarpong, Jr. must share the news that Sam has passed away,” said his publicist in a statement. “The circumstances surrounding his death are currently under investigation and no additional details are known at this time. Information about final arrangements will be forthcoming. The family appreciates the thoughts prayers and other expressions of sympathy, and request their privacy be respected at this extremely difficult time.”
“[Sarpong] had a pure heart and always went out of his way to help others,” his rep, J.D. Sobol, told Variety. “We will all miss him dearly.”
The British-American star was born in London and moved to Los Angeles with his father when he was 11. He would go on to book modeling work, including being the face of Tommy Hilfiger for six years, as well as walking runways for Versace, Gucci, Dolce & Gabbana and Donna Karen.
Sarpong’s first onscreen role came in an episode of Claire Danes’ “My So-Called Life” in 1994. His big TV break, however, came in 2006, when MTV cast him as one of its co-hosts for “Yo Momma.” Sarpong and Valderrama traveled across the country for three seasons to find the best trash talkers. After the show ended in 2007, Sarpong hosted BET pre-awards show “All Access.”
His other TV credits include “Pacific Blue,” “Family Matters,” “ER,” “Boston Public,” “Everybody Hates Chris,” “Veronica Mars,” “Bones” and “24.” He also had a role in FX’s heavily buzzed “American Crime Story: The People v. O.J. Simpson,” which is set to debut next year.
He appeared in films “Carmen: The Hip Hopera,” “Love Don’t Cost a Thing” and “Anchor Baby.”
Sarpong is survived by his father, Samuel Sarpong Sr., and his sister, June.

When it is around this time of the year music artist, poets, producers, designers & entreprenurs put on there best ensembles and network to the full instinct. I attended this year and when arriving it reminded me of the NYC experiences I had because it was in a secret location that was hard to find but when getting inside I was shocked by the setup. Painters Aaron Maybin, Rags, Davon Carey & many others had there work displayed for everybody to see at the event. Poets showcased there work but putting there life situations & accomplishments into deep words. 1914 affair was amazing we danced to Tony Toni Tone all the way to A$AP Rocky & Drake. The light refreshments included Ciroc & Complementary wine.

Style was androgynous & people wore what they felt. I didn’t feel that there were anybody best dressed but people really did make effort and over all it was a great time. I would recommend if your in Baltimore to attend if your in the area next year.

Yeezus 2 collection NYFW

Posted on by Icy Twan in LATEST | Comments Off on Yeezus 2 collection NYFW

Kanye breaks the rules again! West unveils NYFW collection in front of a star-filled crowd and matching Kim and North – but last-minute show and ‘beige’ designs leave fashion pack unimpressed. Despite much controversy over Kanye West’s decision to show off the official New York Fashion Week calendar, the rapper unveiled his second installment of Yeezy on Wednesday afternoon.
Much like Yeezy I, which was made in collaboration with Adidas (Yeezy II, is not), clothes included nude body suits and layers upon layers of utility separates (parka jackets, long coats, oversize knits, hoodies, and tailored canvas pants) in colors ranging from blush, to army green, brown and then black.
And while the show attracted one of New York Fashion Week’s most star-studded front rows thus far, with guests including Anna Wintour, Drake, and Lorde, as well as Kanye’s wife Kim Kardashian and his sisters-in-law Khloe and Kourtney, and Kendall Jenner, despite its last-minute scheduling, it seems that fashionistas further afield were not overly fond of the rapper-turned-designer’s latest Yeezy offering.

NYFW Tia Cibani S/S 16

Posted on by Icy Twan in LATEST | Comments Off on NYFW Tia Cibani S/S 16

Today kicks off the first day of NYFW. My first show was Tia Cibani. I had the chance to view the collection and it was filled with cremes ensembles with pops of color and flowy black dresses. When arriving to the show the tone of the room had its own craft and artistry especially with the amazing back yard. The make up and the colors on the models reminded me of the islands tribes from past history.

The 2015 VMAS took place last night in LA and the stars were out and very revealing.  Mylie Cyrus the host of the show was she icy or spicy? Nicki Minaj showed up looking like an oscar trophy and others were a hit or a miss. Kim Kardashian & Kanye wasn’t a best dressed candidate but Kourtney Kardashin suit was tailored to perfection. These days awards shows aren’t exactly what they used to be.
